Eva Mendes (born in New York City) is an American model and actress. Eva Mendes was discovered by a talent agent who noticed her potential. They advised her that she was destined to pursue a career within the entertainment field. She dropped out of university after much deliberation to make a move into entertainment. After being disappointed by her performances when she entered the industry, she made her film debut in Children of the Corn V Fields of Terror. Her acting skills were developed by appearing in low budget movies. It was a difficult path for this actor however she was successful due to her determination and perseverance. The acting career began after she received praise, fame and appreciation for her part as a character in Training Day.
