Aisha Jamila Hinds is an American actor who is most well known for her roles in TV series The Shield and True Blood. Since her first appearance in 2003, she has shown her range in acting performing outstandingly in TV series like 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7, and Under the Dome. She was first noticed for her performance as Anna in 2005's film Assault on Precinct 13. However it was her portrayal of feminist activists Fannie Lou Hamer from the documentary film All the Way that finally earned her acclaim as an actor. Hind received praise for her performance as Harriet Tubman, in WGN America's historical drama Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 20th Century Fox Television announced that 9-1-1 is scheduled to be renewed for a second season. Hind has recently finished filming the Hollywood feature Godzilla: King of the Monsters. It is set to be released in mid-2019.
